           Imaging technology is used in the medical specialty of radiology to identify and treat disease. Diagnostic radiology and interventional radiology are two subfields of radiology. Radiologists are medical professionals with a focus in radiology.

The non-vascular techniques include percutaneous nephrostomy, radiofrequency ablation of tumours, and percutaneous catheter drainage of abscesses. They also include ultrasound/CT guided FNAC and biopsies.
